PMP Exam Schedule: 

 

Some PMP candidates believe that there are specific PMP exam dates or a PMP exams schedule that must be adhered to in order to take the PMP exam. The PMP test schedule, on the other hand, does not operate that way. There are a few steps to take in order to sit for the PMP test.

Before scheduling the exam, please check the minimum system requirements and run a system test and exam simulation. You are unlikely to obtain a refund if you purchase an online proctored exam and your computer equipment does not meet the requirements. Please register to take the exam at the test center if your computer does not fulfill these criteria.

There are three major ways to apply for a PMP:

Online PMP application
Paper PMP application
PMP application through training provider.

Candidates for the PMP certification should apply online, according to PMI. It is the quickest and easiest method of submitting a PMP application. While evaluations and results for online PMP applications take about five business days, paper applications and applications through training providers might take up to a month.

Scheduling Online

Online Center-Based Test (CBT) and Online Proctored Test Scheduling

PMI.org allows you to make an appointment online. Log in to PMI.org and go to myPMI > Review Application Status. Select Exam Schedule from the drop-down menu. You will be routed to Pearson VUE to arrange your test.

The following instructions will be given to you:

Your test will be available under “Pre-approved Exams” when you are led to your Pearson VUE account.

To take the exam, click the link for the exam you want to take.

The next screen will show you the various booking methods available to you. Choose your preferred exam type:

“I want to take this exam as an online proctored exam or I will be scheduling for a future date at a test center”. Then press the Next button.

In an online proctored version, only the CAPM®, PMI-ACP®, PMP®, and PMI-PBA® certification examinations are offered.

If you select CBT:

Step 1: Please pick your preferred language on the following page. Choose ‘next’ and double-check that the test and language are right. Please read the View Testing Policies section before clicking Schedule This Exam.
Step 2: Next, look for a testing center. Choose a day and time once you’ve found a test site that’s available.
Step 3: After you’ve made your choice, go over your appointment information and then click Proceed to Checkout. 
Step 4: After you’ve completed the checkout process, click Submit Order.
Step 5: Your appointment has been confirmed, and Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email.

If you select online proctored test:

Click Next after reading and agreeing to the online proctoring regulations.
Please pick your preferred language on the following page. Choose ‘next’ and double-check that the test and language are right. Please double-check that you have selected View Testing Policies and then Schedule This Exam
Choose a test day and time that works best for you. You are not required to choose a place. You can make appointments online at any time, but you will only be allowed to do so from Tuesday to Saturday. Choose a date for your exam and then a time for it.
After you’ve made your choice, go over the specifics of your appointment and then click Proceed to Checkout.
After you’ve completed the checkout process, click Submit Order.
Your appointment has been confirmed, and Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email.

You will be able to appear for the PMP test after completing your PMP application and if PMI approves it. After PMI approves your PMP application, the next step is to take the PMP test one year later. If you are unable to take the test within a year, you must reapply for the PMP, and PMI will start again with your application.

When Is The Next PMP Exam Date?

When you’re willing to take the exam, go ahead! You may book your PMP exam date with the local PMP test center as soon as you are ready to take the exam. Remember, as we previously stated, that in order to sit for the PMP test, you must first complete the PMP application process.

You can find information about PMP exam dates and locations 2024 in Pearson VUE. Pearson VUE test centers administer PMP examinations. However, not all Pearson VUE exam centers provide it. The PMP exam centers may be found by going to the Pearson VUE test site and clicking on the link. The PMP exam is not the only one available at Pearson VUE test centers. These test facilities also provide a variety of additional certification, language, and skill examinations. You might not be able to find an early open place for your PMP exam date depending on the location and company of the test facility. As a result, we recommend that you book your PMP test at least one month in advance of the exam date.

Breaking News from PMI: PMI has announced that you may now take the PMP test online. PMI began offering online proctoring for PMP test applicants in response to the COVID-19 epidemic. As a result, you’ll be able to take your PMP test from the comfort of your own home!

You will have one year after passing the PMP application to arrange a PMP exam date and take the PMP exam. If you don’t take the PMP test within a year, you’ll have to restart your application.

How Should I Schedule PMP Exam?

 

You can set your PMP test date whenever you are ready to take the exam. Make sure you’ve finished all of your PMP prep. As many different PMP test questions as possible should be practiced. There are a number of online and offline resources for PMP questions. Make sure that the PMP practice questions you find are up to date, based on the most recent PMBOK, and that the answers and rationales are correct.

Answering 107 out of 175 PMP questions correctly is a passing score. It’s worth noting that the PMP test contains 180 questions. The exam will take 230 minutes to complete. There will be a mix of multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot, and limited fill-in-the-blank questions on the PMP Exam.

If a PMP candidate can score over 70% on sample PMP test questions or a PMP exam simulator, we recommend scheduling the PMP exam. You may schedule the PMP test with confidence if you score over 70%.
